Thomas Hardiman

Director, Office of Student Conduct

Tom joined the Office of Student Conduct in 2017 after serving as the Associate Director in the Office of Student Conduct at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Tom received his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and History with a minor in Leadership Studies from the University of Rhode Island, as well as a Master’s of Arts in Counseling in Higher Education from the University of Delaware. Prior to working in student conduct, Tom served in various roles within Residence Life, Orientation, Admissions, Outdoor Adventure, and Counseling. Tom’s professional interests include assessment, new professional development, and crisis management.

Bradley Davis

Associate Director, Office of Student Conduct

Bradley joined the Office of Student Conduct in 2017 after serving as the Assistant Dean of Students at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Bradley earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology as well as his Master of Education degree in College Student Personnel Administration from James Madison University. Prior to his work in conduct, Bradley served in various roles within Residence Life and Campus Recreation. Bradley is an advisor to the Student Conduct Board and serves as an administrative hearing officer.

Jessica White

Associate Director, Office of Student Conduct

Jess joined the Office of Student Conduct in 2014 after serving as an Assistant Director in the Office of Community Standards & Student Responsibility at Ohio University. Jess received her Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Dayton, and returned to UD where she earned her Master of Science in Education. Prior to working in student conduct, Jess served as an Academic Advisor. Her interests include Title IX and CLERY, non-academic misconduct, and helping students navigate the conduct process. Jess currently serves on NC State’s Sexual Assault Response Team, is an advisor to the Student Conduct Board, and serves as an administrative hearing officer.

Erin Breiner

Assistant Director, Office of Student Conduct

Erin joined the Office of Student Conduct in 2016 after serving as an Assistant Director in the Office of Community Standards & Student Responsibility at Ohio University.  Erin received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Political Science from East Carolina University, as well as a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri. Prior to her work in conduct, Erin served in various roles within Residence Life, Student Activities, and Student Organizations. Erin’s interests include self-authorship, leadership development, education and training, and assessment.

Ernest Shepard

Assistant Director, Office of Student Conduct

Ernest joined the Office of Student Conduct in 2016 after serving as the Assistant Director in the Community Standards and Student Conduct office at The University of Washington. Ernest completed his bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas and his master’s degree in Higher Education Administration also from the University of Kansas.

Antoinette Chavis-Scott

Administrative Support Associate, Department of Student and Community Standards

Antoinette has worked at NC State since 1990.  She joined the Office of Student Conduct in 1999 after working in Accounts Payable for several years. Antoinette assists in managing the the large number of cases that come through the office.  She also manages the office budget and assists in generating letters to be distributed to students, parents, and staff.

Katie Runner

Administrative Support Associate, Department of Student and Community Standards

Katie has worked at NC State since 1998.  She joined the Office of Student Conduct in 2016 after working for NC State University Police, NC State Bureau of Investigation, and NC Wildlife Resources Commission. Katie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She serves as the first point of contact for students and visitors, manages staff calendars, and assists with managing cases that come through the office.

Jesse Hansen

Student Chief Justice

As chief justice, Jesse serves as the primary hearing officer on the University’s Conduct Board.  During hearings, she manages the flow of information and holds all participants accountable to the procedural parameters established in the Student Disciplinary Procedures.  In addition, Jesse also serves on several committees related to the Conduct Board and assists in promoting integrity among the student population.
