About the Conduct Board
We are growing! The Office of Student Conduct seeks to recruit stellar faculty members passionate about engaging students, understanding the importance of accountability, and promoting integrity within the campus community.
The Conduct Board is responsible for reviewing potential violations of the Code of Student Conduct and educating the University population about its rules, policies, and regulations. Most notably, Board members serve as hearing officers for cases that could result in suspension or expulsion from the University.
In cases where a student has been charged with an academic integrity violation, the Conduct Board may convene to review the matter. This Board comprises two faculty members, two students, and the Presiding Officer.
Students may choose the Conduct Board for various reasons, including:
- Declining to accept responsibility for the alleged behavior
- Declining to accept the faculty member’s recommendation sanctions
- Declining to waive their right to appeal
- Declining their right to waive a Conduct Board or Administrative Hearing
- Declining to accept sanctions during the Pre-Hearing Process
