What is your student conduct philosophy: One of the main goals in my career as an educator is to help students learn, which requires me to regularly assess their work to monitor their progress at mastering a given subject. The academic integrity of the students is crucial throughout this process, since their work that I evaluate needs to be authentically their own for me to be able to help them. Since students come to NC State in order to learn and grow, I expect all students here to maintain the highest levels of academic integrity throughout their educational careers. At the same time, I recognize that college is a time of behavioral development for students as much as it is intellectual. As a result, I envision the student conduct process to be one that is fair, educational, and restorative to all students to ultimately allow them to share their perspectives in a situation, better understand healthy approaches to academics, and return to being in good standing with the University.
